How to use Essential Oils
There are three ways you can use your Essential Oils (EO): Aromatically, Topically, and Internally.
Aromatically: This is the quickest way to spread the aroma of EOs. Diffusion can enhance your mood and help with anxious feelings, feelings of despair and loneliness and feelings of stress. It helps to open airways and cleanse the air of bacteria and germs. It helps respiratory function and promotes cognitive ability. Diffusing specific oils can help you feel calm and relaxed at bed time and can help ease you into a deep sleep naturally. A diffuser is the best way to quickly get the oils into the air.
Topically: Apply directly to the afflicted area. If you have a headache, you can apply an oil to your forehead, temples, or back of the neck. If your stomach hurts, you can apply a few drops on your stomach. The body has several great delivery systems: the spine, ears, and feet. Your feet have the largest pores on your body, so it only takes 30 seconds to get into your blood stream. Be sure to dilute with a carrier oil if you've never used a specific oil before. My favorite is FCO (Fractionated Coconut Oil). I love it, because it absorbs right into the skin and doesn't feel greasy. When applying to babies and children, be sure to research which oils are safe, and how much the oils need to be diluted. Be sure to have a Modern Essentials book on hand. I generally refer to this as the bible of EOs.
Internally: Because of the purity of CPTG oils, you can take them internally. Each oil is very different, so be sure to research the best way to take each oil. Most of the time you can put a drop or two in water and drink. You can put a drop or two under your tongue or in a capsule (can be bought through the company or in a health food store). Refer to your Modern Essentials book for how to use each oil.
